Backed by investors Peter Thiel, RRE, and Tribeca Ventures following its launch in 2012, this Brooklyn-based, fully remote bootcamp was acquired by Chegg in 2019. Thinkful Austin Software Engineering Immersive offers two paths: full-time (50 to 60 hours per week for 5 months with a $16,000 tuition) and part-time (25 to 30 hours per week for six months with a $9,500 tuition). Thinkful does offer a deferred tuition payment option for qualifying students. While Thinkful does not publish specific graduation outcomes about their Austin campus, as of 2019, Thinkful reported that 51% of full-time students completed the software engineering bootcamp and "87% of Software Engineering students who completed the job search period, accepted an in-field job within 180 days and 69% accepted an in-field job within 90 days."
